Labbatical 2026

Our 2026 labbatical was a blast!

Another fruitful labbatical is behind us! This year we focused on the wonderful kinetoplastids. Our species of choice were Euglena gracilis and Paradiplonema papillatum. We aimed to adapt transfection protocols, do live imaging on and perform phylogenetic analysis. We had a lot of fun and even found some kinetoplastins just around EMBL.
